FC Barcelona announces €100 million sale

FC Barcelona is gradually regaining more solid finances thanks to strategic initiatives. This Thursday, January 16, 2025, the Catalan club announced the sale of 475 VIP seats at the future Spotify Camp Nou to two investors from the Middle East, whose identity remains confidential.

This operation, with a maximum duration of 30 years, is part of the “Personal Seat License” (PSL) economic model, a first for the club. In an official press release, Barça specifies that this sale was essential to respect the requirements of financial fair play of La Liga. “The Club has been working on this operation for several months, in a strategic market like the Middle East. The contracts include confidentiality clauses to preserve the competitive advantage of investors in the VIP products and hospitality sector,” we read.

The investors, after a rigorous compliance process and a positive review by the Economic Commission, allowed the club to generate around 100 million euros, according to the Sport newspaper. This significant income contributes directly to the financial consolidation of the club and could facilitate the registration of players like Dani Olmo and Víctor.
