The latter has nine participations in the jury of The Voice (a record), including the first seven editions, from 2012. He announced his departure at the end of the 2022 season, while he was in the middle of treatment for lung cancer.

This edition, he will have to deal with another regular, the singer Vianney, and two new jurors: the singers Patricia Kaas and Zaz. He knows the first well, whose career began more or less at the same time as his, and says he had a very good feeling with the second.

New mechanics in The Voice

For the 2025 edition, TF1 also promises a new decor and “ more audience » around the arena, but also a new mechanic. After the blind auditions, the selected candidates will compete as a group in musical scenes, a sort of visual carte blanche. From sixteen artists, the teams will increase to six. Then will come the battles, lasting a single episode.

If the “blocking” option still exists, jurors will benefit from an additional power known as “second chance”. Each coach will thus have the possibility of pressing this button once during the season to offer a talent who has not been accepted to repeat a blind audition.

The novelties stop there, the production of The Voice wishing to return to the fundamentals of the show: music in its diversity. Voices “ more lyrical » and atypical profiles (ranging in particular from 16 to 95 years old) were selected among the 65,000 applications received. What to bring back the public? Last year, the finale of season 13 of the telecrochet brought together 2.74 million viewers, its lowest historical score for a final bonus.
