Fiorentina director Daniele Pradé was furious with the team after a 2-1 loss in Monza, which left the Tuscans with just one point in the last five rounds.
Fiorentina surprisingly lost 2-1 to strugglers Monza on Monday remaining four points below fourth-placed Lazio with a game in hand.
The Tuscans have been in poor form, collecting just one point in their last five outings. Before last night’s meeting, Monza had only won one match.
Furious Fiorentina director seeks ‘change’ after ’embarrassing’ defeat
“We are not embittered, we are literally furious,” Pradé told reporters last night.
“It’s not fine. Ten days are left in the winter transfer window, so those who are not convinced about staying should come and tell us. We’ll find a solution.
“We must return to being who we were. We’ve lost our humility and identity. We tried to give an explanation for this, but now it’s enough. It’s no longer okay, and we will change. We’ll change our way of being and thinking. We’ll arrive in the morning and leave in the evening. We’ll make assessments on what we need to do.
“We apologise to our fans and our president. It’s embarrassing. We have ambition and we want to finish high on the table, but we’ll go nowhere like this.”
