The State draws up the “Great Cold” plan for the most affected territories. The Loiret Prefecture has activated the system since Monday January 13, 2025 throughout the department.
The plan provides in particular for “the opening of places additional accommodation, of the
extended opening hours for day reception centers” and “intensification of raids”, announces the Prefecture.
How to help or be helped?
Do you need emergency accommodation or want to report someone on the street? A free emergency number is available, 24 hours a day: 115.
For the number of places, the State finances in total 1,371 emergency accommodation places spread over four towns in Loiret:
- 1 152 places in Orleans
- 198 places distributed between Montargis and Gien
- 21 places in Pithiviers
But exceptional places can be opened, 50 currently, and adding to these 1,371 places. A layout of community or State sites, particularly in the districts of Orléans and Montargis.
