“They don’t like to do that”: Frank Boeckx explains how RSC Anderlecht can hurt Club Brugge – News

In the early evening, RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge will face each other. We’ll have to wait and see whether Purple and White can make a stand against the reigning national champion.

Many worries for trainer David Hubert at RSC Anderlecht. He has a lot of absentees and that will of course weigh extra heavily against a top club like Club Brugge.

Still, Frank Boeckx sees the necessary opportunities, especially because Club Brugge is not going to put a lot of pressure, as he tells De Zondag about the winner.

“If you are ball-resistant against their low block, they become a little more vulnerable. Because then they have to defend and they are much less likely to do that. They may still be strong on the counter-attack, but they are not great defensively,” he said.

Boeckx immediately mentions two names that you should target. “Vanaken is not the fastest, there is something you can do against De Cuyper one-on-one and there is always some space to play in between the lines.”

According to Boeckx, this was already clearly visible in last Sunday’s cup match and Hubert must certainly have seen that too.
