Beerschot ended 2024 with a measly 2 out of 12. The balance after 20 matches looks painful for the PhD candidate with barely 12 points. In addition, the Red Lantern was imposed a transfer ban by the Licensing Committee of the Belgian Football Association at the end of last year because there were overdue payments.
Beerschot therefore changed its structure at the start of the new year. A new chairman, CEO and sporting director were appointed respectively with Selahattin Baki, Steve Nuyts and Murat Akin. The overdue payments were also settled and so a transfer can take place again. Will there now also be a sporting turnaround?
