After the conviction of five players, the team physiotherapist and the team manager last Wednesday, it became known that the Basketball federations were also aware of the tampering of the 3×3 basketball team. They are planning a meeting soon.

Sport Vlaanderen, which is responsible for subsidies, is now awaiting an additional investigation into the involvement of the Flemish basketball association. Competent minister Annick De Ridder (N-VA) said she regrets that the performance of the 3×3 team is overshadowed by the fraud case. She also believes that the conditions for qualifying should be examined internationally.
