Gala

To celebrate his 60th birthday, Pascal Obispo gave an event concert at the Accor Arena in Paris this Saturday, January 11, during which he invited numerous artists on stage. Our journalist Stéphanie Moyal, who was on site, was able to capture some images of the rehearsals.

To celebrate his 60th birthday, as well as his 30 years of career, Pascal Obispo saw things big. On the occasion of his birthday, the singer decided to organize two concert events. He therefore went on stage on January 9 at Forest National in Brussels. Then two days later, the artist set down his bags in Paris, and more precisely at the Accor Arena where he celebrated his birthday on stage this Saturday, January 11. One of our journalists, Stéphanie Moyal, was able to attend the rehearsals for this concert given in the capital and was able to capture some images taking us behind the scenes.

For this concert event, Pascal Obispo called on numerous artists with whom he shared the stage. In the images, the singer performs Light the fire alongside David Hallyday. Guitar around his neck, he then played a duo with Axel Bauer. The 60-year-old singer then experienced a moment of complicity with Zazie by performing The best enemiesa duet song with the singer dating from 1996. The two artists then began to dance while hugging each other. A tender moment of sharing and celebration announcing an unforgettable evening filled with emotions.

At 60, Pascal Obispo is far from thinking about rest

While he celebrated his 60th birthday on stage, Pascal Obispo seems to be far from slowing down by continuing his projects. In an interview given to Evening Mag, he had also assured that he did not know the word “repos”, before mentioning this 60-year milestone. “It’s a rather special figure indeed. But times have evolved: in our time, when we were 20, those who were 60 were considered old, whereas today, I have the impression that it is no longer quite the same thing”, he emphasized, also recalling that he was not “in renunciation”. Before specifying: “I’m not retired – in principle it will be next year – so for now, everything is fine…Even if it’s easier to stay young in the head than physically.” However, last November, he explained on Bernard Montiel’s show, 1 hour with… on RFMthat he was going “take a big break”, but he did not specify whether this would be definitive or not.
