This might be your little Sunday treat: a good flan topped with caramel. Invert the pot onto a plate, pull the tab and bam, the caramel will flow, we are ready to enjoy.
Yes, but be careful if you have purchased flans from Leclerc’s distributor brand, Délisse.
In fact, the site Consumption reminder issues a product recall regarding these blanks.
Pieces of metal in the blanks
To find out if you are affected, you must check the GTIN of your product.
The recalled blanks are Mr’ Flanpackaged in packs of twelve 100 gram jars. Their GTIN: 3564700007129. The expiration date is January 23, 2025. They were sold in all Leclerc stores in France between December 23, 2024 and January 10, 2025.
Also note that the health mark is FR 42.005.001 CE.
If you have any left in your fridge, you must stop consuming these flans because they contain metallic foreign bodies.
A risk of injury
Because of these foreign bodies, there is a risk of injury for consumers.
This is why, if you still have this product, you must return it to the point of sale. There, a refund will be offered to you as compensation.
A dedicated contact number exists if you have any questions: 0 80 086 52 86.
The recall procedure will end on January 28, 2025.
