The Digital Market Act (DMA) came into force on May 2, 2023 and the Digital Service Act (DSA) on August 25, 2023. These European regulations which aim to guarantee fairer and open digital markets as well as the online distribution of content and illicit products have given the European Commission the role of regulator of very large platforms.
How does it exercise it and with what means? What connections with national regulators have been implemented? What critical view do actors and observers have of these instruments and their uses when, perhaps never before, the challenge of regulating these “giants” has been so high?
Two years after its study on social networks, the Council of State is devoting the 2nd “Europe” edition of its Interviews to this issue on January 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
