Actress Pia Barucki is leaving the “Dünentod” series on RTL after seven episodes. From the beginning of the series she was seen as Chief Inspector Femke Folkmer alongside Chief Inspector Tjark Wolf, played by Hendrik Duryn, but now it’s over, as Barucki announced.

“Femke Folkmer won my heart with her somewhat brittle but sharp and combative nature and I loved being able to embody her for three years,” said Pia Barucki and thanked not only the audience and colleagues, but also the production company Made For Film, “who entrusted me with this fine role and accompanied me on this journey with respect and love.”

Good news for “Dünentod” fans: Even before the two new episodes were broadcast, RTL had already announced a sequel to the successful crime series. However, it is not yet clear who will succeed Barucki.

It is now officially clear when the “Dune Death” will continue: As expected, the two new episodes with the tried and tested duo will be shown on RTL on February 11th and 18th at 8:15 p.m. – and therefore after End of this year’s jungle camp. The cases are also available to watch on the streaming service RTL+ a week before the linear broadcast.

The regular ensemble this time also includes Florian Panzner (“Dark”), Yasemin Cetinkaya (“WaPo Duisburg”), Rainer Reiners, Alessija Lause (“Boom Boom Bruno”) and Eugene Boateng (“Tribes of Europa”). Banafshe Hourzmadi (“Loving Her”), Johann von Bülow (“Das Boot”), Robert Maaser (“Blood & Gold”) and Özgür Karadeniz (“Liebes Kind”) will be seen in episode roles. The producers are Mirko Schulze, Nanni Erben and Gunnar Juncken.
