The rain reaches the regions from Brittany to the Loire Valley and the Vosges and is sometimes sustained. This rain gradually turns into snow on the Normandy hills. The weather is dry, cold, but overcast north of the Seine at first. The veiled sun dominates from New Aquitaine to Corsica.

Afternoon
Arriving on cold air, snow falls steadily from Seine-Maritime to the Ardennes, crossing the Picardy hills. We expect on average 1 to 5 cm in the plains and up to 10 cm on the heights. On the other hand, it rains from eastern Brittany to the Paris basin and the Grand-Est. Showers take over along the Atlantic arc and are sometimes stormy. The sky is cloudy from the center-east to the Mediterranean, with good brightness all the same. Note that the southwest wind blows at peaks of 80-90 km/h on the Atlantic coast.

Evening
Continuous and snowy precipitation is evacuating beyond our borders while showers take over in the far north. Stormy showers affect the Channel coasts and locally sustained rain extends from the Ardennes to the Massif Central. The sky clears in the southwest, but becomes cloudy in the southeast, towards the Mediterranean.
Weather trend: what you need to remember for the coming days
On Thursday, the weather will improve north of the Seine, with the return of the sun, while the sky will often be gray and sometimes rainy then, except near the Mediterranean. On Friday, a new episode of snow in the plains is likely over the northern half with a new air mass conflict.
