Most of the FCQFC teams, and particularly the seniors, were rested during the first weekend of January, but some teams braved the cold despite everything, to start this year 2025 on the pitch:
First of all, the U18s, who traveled to Launac (31) to join the Save et Garonne team, conceded a defeat with a score of four goals to three, despite a good comeback at the end of the match. Thomas Louis's protégés did not fare well against the championship leader, who has won all the matches played on his lawn since the start of the season!
For their part, the “little” U9s competed in a field in Sousceyrac, with the Ségala Foot association, showing their usual enthusiasm and combativeness, in difficult weather conditions. The U11s had the chance to play “warm” since they played at the Champollion gymnasium in Figeac in their qualifying phase of the “Challenge Futsal”, which brought together five teams from FCQFC and Haut Célé. A great afternoon for the young players, who should participate in the final phase scheduled for Cahors in February.
The coming weekend (January 11 and 12) will be much busier, with all the teams competing in the regional championships, as well as the senior women, who will play a decisive match in Bétaille, Saturday January 11 at 8 p.m., at the FC Haut Quercy agreement. Particularly important match also for the men's pennant team: in fact Amine El Haoussi (in photo) and his teammates host Grisolles, Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Calvaire stadium, and will have to win against an opponent in great difficulty in the rankings.
