New presenter in the person of Loury Lag, a 38-year-old explorer, but also a slightly modified concept. If during the four previous editions the adventurers waited for the return of the boat to end their adventure, this time, they will have to cross ten kilometers of jungle in ten days to reach it. Despite this difficulty, actor Patrick Puydebat did not hesitate to respond favorably to the production's invitation. “I was delighted because they had contacted me for a previous edition. But unfortunately, I got caught up in the filming. So I didn't think for a second”he confided to Tele-Leisure.

Barely arriving on the beach after the long swim, backpacks strapped to their backs, the candidates decided to build… a drying rack to dry their belongings. A decision which goes against everything that Loury Lag advised them in terms of survival, the important thing being first of all to build a shelter and make a fire as quickly as possible while they have enough energy. In full sun and without a hat since he had left it to dry, Patrick Puydebat very quickly felt heatstroke which forced him to slow down.
A fatal stingray sting for Patrick Puydebat's adventure in The Island
When the cabin had just been finished, a small group of adventurers decided to go swimming. After being stabilized by the medical team, Patrick Puydebat was evacuated to hospital and forced to abandon. “I knew exactly what happened to me.
