Peaky Blinders aired the last episode from its sixth season back in 2022. Ever since then, fans from all over the world have been waiting with bated breath for the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie that will continue the narrative of the Shelby company forward through the Second World War. As of this writing, it has officially been confirmed that filming for the Peaky Blinders movie, tentatively being referred to as The Immortal Manhas been concluded.
Collider recently reported that Nadia Stacey, the makeup artist and hair designer working on the film, took to her Instagram profile to share her heartfelt gratitude for having been a part of the journey of making the Peaky Blinders movie a reality. The post also contained the image of a tote bag, with an impressive artwork etched across it, showing impressions of Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan.
The artwork contains the title The Immortal Manwhich might just be the name of the upcoming movie or also might be a working title to last through production. We won’t know unless an official announcement is made in this direction.

What’s the latest buzz around the Peaky Blinders movie?
Back in 2022 when the sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders came to an end on Netflix, fans of the show were left wanting for more as the finale ended on an ambiguous note. Good news arrived earlier in 2024 when Netflix greenlit the movie to serve as a continuum, picking up from where the show had left. Production on the film began in late 2024 and is now believed to have wrapped up the phase of principal photography.
This is confirmed by makeup artist and hairstylist Nadia Stacey sharing an Instagram post expressing her gratitude for having been part of the journey. Stacey’s post was further reposted by Hairstylist Gareth Bromell with makeup artist Olivia Charlotte sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of the movie. An official release date is yet to be announced.
What to expect from the Peaky Blinders movie?
Showrunner Steven Knight has always maintained that he wants to end the saga of the Shelby family by bringing them over to the era of the Second World War. He had previously stated that the show was the story of the Shelby family as it began in the aftermath of the First World War, and will end with the first air raid sirens ringing out across the skies of Birmingham heralding the onset of the Second World War.
Thereafter the upcoming film can be expected to delve deep into the Shelby family and its younger generation navigating their way around the ravages of war. Speaking with Radio Times in an interview back in 2022, Knight indicated the same when he said:
“I’ve had this in mind for quite a while now, a story with the Peakys during the Second World War, and I’ve picked up three true stories that I’m integrating into the film. True, sort of secret and unknown stories about the Second World War, and (I’ve) involved the Peaky’s in there. I’m always interested because with the Second World War there was so much going on and so much death and destruction, that lots of things happened that didn’t really make it into the history books. So it’s those things I’m focusing on.”
