Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund was optimistic about the squad returning: “Jamal is a bit sickly. It's a precautionary measure. We hope that he will be there again on Saturday,” explained the Austrian FCB TV+.
Neuer before a comeback
FC Bayern can probably rely on Manuel Neuer again in Mönchengladbach. “Manu is on his way back. I hope he'll be back on Saturday. He has already partially trained again. “It looks pretty good,” said Freund.
FCB sports director Max Eberl was also optimistic about the club icon being deployed, but did not want to rule out a short-term change of plans. “We will make the right decision. If it were like that (that Neuer is out, editor's note)then there would be Daniel Peretz, who played very well and very stable in the last few games. We're not worried about that. “Of course we have hope of having the captain back on the pitch,” said Eberl after the win in Salzburg.

Neuer was missing from FCB in the year-end spurt before Christmas due to a rib fracture, Daniel Peretz represented the 2014 world champion in the Munich goal. Serge Gnabry (knee problems) “could be there again on Saturday.”
Both Neuer and Gnabry will be missing from FCB on Monday evening in Salzburg
