The love story of Michèle Bernier and Bruno Gaccio ended at the end of the 1990s, when the actress was expecting their second child. Many years later, and after long psychotherapy, relationships are now “peaceful”.

As she prepares to take the stage of the Théâtre de with the show “Lily & Lily” (January 29), Michèle Bernier answered questions from Audrey Crespo-Mara in her “Portrait of the week” for the show “Sept à Huit” broadcast this January 5 on TF1. An interview during which the actress spoke about her personal life, in particular her breakup with the father of her two children, Bruno Gaccio.

When she met him at the “Petit Théâtre de Bouvard” in the early 1980s, Michèle Bernier fell in love with the actor and performer. “For me, yes, him, I don’t know! I don't think I ever asked him. I know that the first time I saw it… I said to myself: 'Oh my!' », she remembers today. A daughter was first born from this romance, Charlotte, who was born in 1987.

But in 1997, after fifteen years of living together, and while she was pregnant with their son Enzo, Bruno Gaccio decided to leave Michèle Bernier. “He met people and that’s it,” she explains, 28 years later. A trying period that the actress finally overcame, not without help. “We do a lot of couch work, a lot of psychology,” confides the star of the series “The Intern,” while explaining that now, “things are very peaceful.”

“At one point I stopped asking myself the question, I really wanted to move forward… I had met a lot of women who had suffered, I said to myself ‘I’m not alone in having experienced things like that '. Many women asked me how I managed to get through it,” added the 68-year-old actress. Following his separation from Michèle Bernier, Bruno Gaccio started a new life with presenter Agnès Michaux and welcomed a third child, Amedeo, born in 2000.

Following in the footsteps of her famous parents, Charlotte in turn became an actress. She notably distinguished herself in the series “Sam” on TF1, before landing a role in the soap opera “Tomorrow belongs to us” in 2021. The happy mother of twins Zoé and Roméo (7 years old) also made an appearance in the “Astrid and Raphaëlle” series at the beginning of December. For his part, Enzo Gaccio also operates in the entertainment industry since he is a manager.

Passing through “Télématin” last September, Michèle Bernier spoke about her role as grandmother, which she takes on with joy. “I am the grandmother of magnificent twins who are wonderful, who are growing up, and who make me a delighted grandmother,” explained the one who, rather than being a cake grandmother, prefers to be a “spoilt grandmother”. “I laugh, I sing a lot with my grandchildren.”
