Indicted in February 2024, at the age of 74, Philippe Caubère is being prosecuted for sexual assault, rape and corruption of minors in the context of three different cases. Him “refutes” to have “imposed sexual relations on the woman who was his companion for ten years”, Agathe Pujol, “by any means”.

Agathe Pujol “became the slave” of the artist
In 2018, he even managed to have the first woman to have dared to file a complaint against him, Solveig Halloin, convicted for defamation. During this trial he took the opportunity to vilify the Metoo movement.

A fierce commitment to prostitution
Philippe Caubère masterfully handles jumps in time of this order, particularly in his autobiographical theatrical works, where he plays all the characters alone. In reality, some turn out to be disturbing. The actress raped “by hundreds of men”
But it could well be a facade masking much less honorable actions. Philippe Caubère would never have really hidden the relationships he had with very young women. He even sent SMS messages in which he stated: “Matzneff tells the truth: it’s wonderful at 15. »
But above all, according to Agathe Pujol, he would not have hesitated to offer “his services” to “trusted friends” and even to be directly pimped by selling them, for a few dozen euros, on online classified ads sites such as Vivastreet.
The actress, believing that he had made her “his thing”, denounces having been thus raped, “ by hundreds of men », precisely describing scenes in which the actor would have participated to satisfy his fantasies.
A visceral hatred towards women
This contempt for women could also be fueled by a visceral hatred against them. “I lived for a long time under the thumb and dictatorship of a woman who also didn’t want to know anything (…), explained Philippe Caubère in his 2011 column. This woman, this poor woman, was my mother. Intelligent, brilliant, charming, loving, generous, a feminist before her time, she taught my sister and me that women should be equal to men, that they should work, be independent, not depend on others. 'a man etc. But as soon as it came to sex and pleasure, she became crazy, nasty, stupid, murderous, medieval. (…) My mother was obsessed. A real one. Seriously disturbed, her frustration sometimes agitated her to the point of madness, triggering in her attacks of terrible, castrating and terribly predatory violence. »
Faced with this mother « castrating »would the only way for a woman to be respectable be for him to be a prostitute? “I love and respect them, he assures in any case regarding those who are.
