At Ormesson Castle, nerves are on edge! During a very tough semi-final, the show made the decision to modify the rules of the competition. Eliminations were suspended for a week, and a points system was implemented. Benjamin, Tsiory, Timothée and José competed in six events, spread over two weeks. At the end of each of them, there is a winner, who thus receives a “Top”. To obtain their place, a candidate must obtain two Tops. At the end of the episode broadcast on December 26, 2024, three tops had been distributed to three different apprentice pastry chefs: Benjamin, Timothée and José. Tsiory, lagging behind, therefore found himself in a delicate position.

An episode full of twists and turns!

For this second semi-final broadcast on January 2, 2025, the spirit was in celebration. For the occasion, the last three events paid tribute to childhood memories and Christmas. During the first competition, the four semi-finalist candidates had to create a transparent, edible and XXL Christmas ball, containing a cake representing one of their best memories. A difficult exercise on which most of the participants lost their teeth, with the exception of Tsiory who rose to the challenge with flying colors and thus won his very first Top! The storytellers were therefore reset shortly before the verdict.

Who of the four candidates was eliminated?

During the penultimate event, it was Timothée, the youngest of the season, who won the round and therefore earned his place in the final. In order to balance the games, and to have two qualifiers instead of just one, Mercotte and Cyril Lignac announced to Timothée, Tsiory and José that two Tops will be distributed at the end of the last event. The three men had to make an edible Christmas wreath using at least one poaching technique. And unfortunately it was Benjamin, the single dad, who came last in this test. So, who will win the 13th edition of the competition, Timothée, José or Tsiory? Answer next week!
