The Italian Super Cup 2024 began with the now consolidated four-participant format. In this edition the Italian champions ofInterthe second classified i.e. the Milan and the two finalists of the Italian Cup, the winner Juventus and defeat Atalanta. The structure of the tournament which is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia features two single-game semi-finals from which the finalists will compete for the trophy. All matches do not have a round trip and in the event of a draw extra time will not be played, but rather penalties will be played directly.
Il regulation of the Italian Super Cup 2024 has not undergone any changes compared to the last edition and so, after the positive results of 2024, this year too another flight will be held in Arabia (it is the fifth consecutive presence in the Middle East) and with the Final Four formula. For both, therefore, the Italian Super Cup could mean a lot in terms of self-esteem and relaunch.

The Supercoppa Italia in the Final Four format includes two pre-established semi-finals: Italian champions against the final loser of the Italian Cup, winners of the Italian Cup against the second-placed team in Serie A. Two straight matches, i.e. without a return leg from which they will have to exit two finalists. But what happens in case of a tie? The regulations of the Italian Super Cup do not provide for the playing of two extra times of 15 minutes each. Both the semi-finals and the final will feature penalty kicks, a phase which will be reached directly if the result remains tied in the 90th minute.. The classic “lottery” will eventually decide the winner and the new Super Cup champion with five shots each from the spot: in the event of a further tie, one shot at a time will be continued until one of the two teams makes a mistake and the other scores.
