The SNational Border Service (Senafront) has managed to seize a total of 41 million dollars in goods and drugs, through a series of high-impact operations carried out throughout 2024,
The entity also dismantled numerous criminal networks and drastically reduced the irregular migratory flow through the dangerous Darién jungle.
Operations like Armageddon, Dealer y Millionaire have been key to dismantling networks of drug trafficking y microtrafficas well as to combat the human trafficking.
These operations have allowed the seizure of 2,408 packages of drugs, 409 vehicles and the arrest of 1,846 people.
Historical reduction in the irregular migratory flow
One of the most notable achievements of Senafront has been the considerable decrease in the irregular migratory flow through the Darién jungle.
Compared to 2023, a reduction of more than 223 thousand migrants. This decrease has been achieved thanks to a combination of strategies that include greater control in border areas, the implementation of prevention programs and international cooperation.
Investment in infrastructure and operational strengthening
To strengthen its operational capabilities, Senafront has invested more than 2 million dollars in improving its infrastructure and in the acquisition of new equipment.
These investments have made it possible to improve the working conditions of agents and optimize operations in the most remote areas of the country.
Prevention and outreach to the community
In addition to its operational actions, Senafront has intensified its efforts in terms of prevention and outreach to the community. Through the campaign “We Win Minds and Hearts”the entity has developed more than 4 thousand 995 activities aimed at more than 158 thousand people.
These activities have allowed us to strengthen ties of trust between the population and the security forces.
