The year begins under the fleet. Since 6 a.m. this Thursday, Météo France has placed 26 departments, including Essonne, on yellow alert for a risk of “rain-flood”, from 6 a.m. until midnight this Thursday, January 2, 2025.
After the rain, the snow
According to Météo France, scattered rain will fall on the entire department in the morning. The rain should then calm down in the west of the department, while in the east this disturbance will remain active until the evening.
Temperatures will range between 4 and 6°C throughout the day. Note that these will drop to 2°C this Thursday evening.
And be careful, after the rain will undoubtedly come snow. In fact, Météo France has also placed the department on yellow alert. “snow-ice” from midnight until 12 p.m. this Friday, January 3, 2025. Temperatures will be between -1 and 5°C.
This weekend, the weather will not be much better. The sun will appear on Saturday with temperatures between -3 and 2°C during the day. On Sunday, the rain will return with a rise in temperatures which will oscillate between 8 and 10°C.
