The President of the Council Giorgia Meloni expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella “for recalling Italy’s strong commitment in the global context, including as G7 presidency, in crisis scenarios, on the path to peace in Ukraine and the Middle East and for the defense of international law. This was said by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, who had a cordial telephone conversation with the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during which she expressed to the Head of State her personal and government appreciation for his end-of-year message. Meloni then extended her best wishes to the President and his loved ones for 2025 and for the continuation of her mandate.
The president said she appreciated “the president’s call to the founding value of patriotism, as the engine of daily action and a living sentiment that moves the commitment of those who serve public affairs and the national community. “Full agreement on the need to address the growing discomfort that young generations are experiencing, proposing concrete and effective responses,” Meloni said. “Equally worthy of sharing is the call to positive macroeconomic signals, particularly on exports and employment, with the simultaneous commitment to intensify action to reduce areas of precariousness and poor work,” the prime minister concluded.
