Real Madrid coach reminded his colleague that in this career, “dismissal” is part of the job
This Monday, Paulo Fonseca left his position as Milan coach. As a former coach of the Rossoneri, Ancelotti, currently at Real Madrid, spoke about the premature dismissal of the Portuguese and reminded him that the responsibility “always rests” with the coach.
“Firing a coach is part of his job. I’ve been fired many times, because when there are problems in a team, the responsibility falls on just one man: the coach. Even if it’s not fair, Fonseca knows, like me, that this can happen”, he shared with Radio Anch’io Sport. .
“In football you never know what it’s going to be like. Against us they played very well and deserved to win. Perhaps they did not find the continuity that the Rossoneri entity asked of them. It’s very simple.”
This season, Paulo Fonseca’s Milan beat Ancelotti’s Real Madrid 3-1, in the fourth round of the Champions League.
Ancelotti represented Milan as a player between 1987 and 1992. As a coach, he guided the Italian team between 2001 and 2009.
