The vampire thriller Nosferatu and Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown are both opening strong at the five-day Christmas weekend box office.

Nosferatu and A Complete Unknown both opened on Christmas Day. Focus Features’ Nosferatu is playing in 2,992 North American venues while Searchlight Pictures’ A Complete Unknown is in 2,835 domestic locations.

Per Deadline, Nosferatu—a remake of the 1922 horror film classic directed by Robert Eggers and starring Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult and Lily-Rose Depp, is projected to make $39.3 million domestically in its five-day opening frame for a No. 3 finish at the North American box office.

The trade publication also projects that director James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown—starring Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan during the rise of the music legend’s career in the early 1960s—will make $23.3 million over its five-day opening weekend.

Deadline reported that Nosferatu had a production budget of $50 million before prints and advertising.

‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Topping ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ In Second Weekend Of Release

After a sluggish start in its opening weekend Dec. 20-22, Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King is projected to top the five-day Christmas weekend box office with $61.7 million in domestic ticket sales from 4,100 venues, Deadline reported.

If the estimate holds, it will boost The Lion King prequel’s running North American tally to $111.4 million.

Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog 3which topped the domestic box office in its opening frame Dec. 20-22, is projected by Deadline to take the No. 2 spot at the extended holiday weekend box office with $59.4 million in domestic ticket sales from 3,769 locations.

Should the estimate hold, it will up Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s domestic tally to $137 million through Sunday.

Coming in at No. 4 behind Nosferatu is the Universal Pictures’ blockbuster musical Wickedwhich is projected by Deadline to earn $32.1 million from 3,177 locations over the five-day weekend to boost its domestic ally to $424.6 million.

Taking No. 5, the trade publication noted, is Disney’s Moana 2which Deadline projects will earn $27.9 million from 3,410 theaters domestically to boost its domestic tally to $394.2 million to date.

Also new in theaters this weekend is A24 erotic thriller Babygirlstarring Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson, and Amazon MGM Studio’s boxing drama The Fire Insidestarring Ryan Destiny and Brian Tyree Henry.

Deadline projects that Babygirl will earn $6.9 million from 2,115 theaters domestically for a No. 7 finish over the five-day weekend, while The Fire Inside will make $4.2 million in 2,006 North American venues for a No. 10 finish in five-day opening frame.
