On Saturday there was a surprising double victory for Switzerland – even if it was the third in the third downhill run of the season. But it was hardly to be expected that premiere winner Alexis Monney and Franjo von Allmen, a 24- and a 23-year-old, would take first and second place in Bormio. World Cup dominator Marco Odermatt stood next to the podium for once after his moment of shock and the opening of the airbag while driving.
Yesterday’s fifth place gets the next chance today. In the Super-G he is the favorite to win, but the other Swiss are also a force to be reckoned with.
You can see whether a Swiss Ski rider will be at the top of the podium again from 11.30 a.m. in the live ticker and in the SRF stream.
