After the victory of his men, the general director of the Paloise Section Pierre Lahore spoke of the pain of his club, shared with its women's section. “We share the pain of (Lily’s) family and friends. He was a member of the Section family. We are all very touched and moved by this tragedy and it was important to mark the moment, so that everyone can honor his memory, in a full Hamlet stadium. »
“We have a daily link with the Paloise Women's Section so when this tragedy occurred, we knew about it by following it and it seemed natural to us to enjoy this beautiful moment of celebration at the Hameau with a full stadium and the whole community gathered to mark this dramatic moment and accompany her family, her loved ones, all those for whom she matters. It was a member of the green and white family. »
For its part, the Lons Section Paloise Rugby Féminin reacted via its Facebook account with a press release: “It is with immense sadness that we learned of the tragic death of Lily, a young player from our club. Lily was much more than a player, she embodied the values of our club through her commitment, her passion and her joie de vivre. […] Rest in peace Lily.”
