“I had everything to lose”: Faustine Bollaert reacts to her title of favorite TV personality of the French

She has managed to find a place in the daily lives of the French, but also in their hearts. Like every year, our colleagues from Mag revealed at the end of the year the results of their survey concerning the favorite TV personality of the French. Already crowned in 2023, Faustine Bollaert retained her crown, finishing on the top step of the podium ahead of Nikos Aliagas and Karine Le Marchand.

Faustine Bollaert elected favorite TV personality of the French in 2024: her reaction

This second consecutive victory necessarily has a special flavor for the host, who confided to having felt more pressure than in previous editions of the survey. “Last year, I didn’t expect it. It is therefore even more precious to keep this first place because I had everything to lose. I was more stressed this year because I really wanted this confirmation. I take this place as a testimony of affection from the public with whom I have a real emotional commitment“, she explains to our colleagues.

Faustine Bollaert sees in this nice distinction a validation of her evolution on the air, in particular in the animation of It starts today ( 2). “By listening and investing emotionally, my mental health could have been weakened. I always took what people gave me in the face, but now I feed off it. I am more committed, I take positions, my anger goes away more and the result of this survey validates this change in my career and the fact that I am becoming even more myself!“, adds the host.

Faustine Bollaert: her look at her “too much” beginnings on television

Last March, guest on the show Culture Media on Europe 1, the host gave her point of view on her first steps on television. Faustine Bollaert was quite frank, pointing out her attitude on the air.

I did my first TV, I was 18 years old. It’s been 25 years. So yes, obviously, I have been seen at times when in general, we don’t necessarily want to be seen. I was seen to have a very big mouth. I don’t necessarily assume. There are images where I tell myself that I was in another period, I certainly had revenge to take, I certainly wanted to be seen… So I was too much of everything. They saw me grow up! There are periods of your life that we no longer take responsibility for today. But that’s the benefit of age. (…) It’s true that we find ourselves more and we are more ourselves around 40 than when we are 25“, she explained.
