Slimani towards a return to Europe?
Slimani towards a return to Europe?

The reunion between Islam Slimani and CR Belouizdad was ultimately not what was hoped for, while his adventure in this Algerian club had allowed the Fennecs striker to join Europe and Sporting Portugal in 2013. With his experience gained at Leicester, Fenerbahce, Olympique Lyonnais, Anderlecht and Coritiba, he thought he would bring something more to the team but was ultimately confronted with training methods different. Tensions occurred with coach Abdelkader Amrani and some of his teammates, enough to push him to leave and he could bounce back in Europe.

Freelancing in Italy

Passed by AS Monaco between 2019 and 2020, SuperSlim was able to play with Cesc Fabregas, famous FC Barcelona player and could find him in Italy. Now coach of Como 1907, promoted to Serie A this season and currently 16th, the Spanish coach would like to attract him to his team according to La Gazette du Fennec. He would join other experienced players like Andrea Belotti, Sergi Roberto and Pepe Reina. His name had already been mentioned at the club during the summer transfer window, without success. The outcome could be different this time for Slimani who would like to return to the Algerian selection of which he is the most capped player tied with Aïssa Mandi (103 caps). A transfer to the Swiss championship cannot be ruled out.
