The majority agricultural union alliance, the FNSEA-JA, expressed its satisfaction, Monday, December 23, after the reappointment to the Ministry of Agriculture of Annie Genevard, which should ensure “continuity” on the files agricultural and keeping the promises made. For its part, the Peasant Confederation called on the minister to “act structurally to give farmers a future”.
For the FNSEA and Young Farmers, Annie Genevard, “aware of the urgency of the situation and expectations, must
honor the commitments made to the agricultural world for over a year
“, partly blocked by the dissolution of the National Assembly then the censorship of the Barnier government.

Among their expectations are the realization of measures promised by Annie Genevard: compensation for breeders hit by the FCO8 epizootic, or even prioritization under the leadership of the Ministry of Works of the Food Safety Agency (ANSES) in matters of authorization of inputs. These unions are demanding the resumption of tax measures included in the finance bill, and the inclusion of several projects and legislative proposals, notably
“simplification” and “to remove constraints on practicing the profession of farmer”.
