Sat.1-Medical-Daily took a break on Friday. It will continue in mid-2025. That's already certain. The ARD guessing games presented themselves strongly the evening before.
The 81st and final episode of the Sat.1 series “Die Spreewaldklinik”, which was broadcast on Friday shortly before 7 p.m., ended with a cliffhanger. A second season has long been confirmed – filming will begin in Berlin and Lübben in February. From January 2nd, Sat.1 will initially switch back to “Landarztpraxis” at 7 p.m., “Die Spreewaldklinik” will then return in mid-2025. The final episode of the first season didn't bring any records for the station. 0.67 million people watched linearly, with more being added via the option to stream the episode on Joyn. In linear terms, the Hospital Daily secured 3.5 percent market share overall and 4.2 percent overall. Things were getting better: just two weeks ago, the series from ndF achieved around six and a half percent, while the reach was previously at 800,000 viewers or more.
Linear broadcast of “Die Stinos” on Sat.1 was a total failure
For example, 800,000 viewers saw the 80th episode on Thursday, which led to the season finale. Another fiction production was completely lost on Sat.1. The Joyn original “Die Stinos” was shown after the Bundesliga game, but the interaction didn’t work at all. The first episode secured a 1.6 percent market share from shortly after 11 p.m. The second episode was a real total failure, as it only achieved a 0.3 percent market share in the target group after 11:30 p.m.
Das Erste, which achieved a 5.3 percent market share with “Green Book” later in the evening, was much stronger. And the evening before, quiz formats scored points on the public broadcaster. The 6 p.m. program “Who knows something like that?” landed at 20.9 percent overall and 10.4 percent among boys. 3.34 million people watched. The following “quiz duel” was seen by an average of 2.44 million people (12.7%). The younger generation received 6.2 percent.
From 3:20 p.m. there were also live biathlon pictures. 2.62 million people saw the winter sports broadcast. Overall, this resulted in a 27.8 percent market share, with 14 to 49 year olds scoring 20.5 percent.
