This morning
The weather is gray and slightly rainy from the southwest to the northeast. With a mild spell, the rain and snow limit rises to around 1200 to 1400 m in the mountains. In the northwest, the weather is very cloudy with a little wind. The south-eastern quarter and the Alps are enjoying the sun with less wind than the day before.
Temperatures, in mild weather, range from 3 to 11°C.

This afternoon
More rain falls north of the Loire with fairly strong winds, especially north of the Seine (gusts reaching 80 to 90 km/h on the coast). South of the Loire, the weather remains very cloudy with some rain south of the Garonne. The south-eastern quarter, including the Alps, retains more or less veiled sunshine but the weather is pleasant from Lyon to Marseille, Nice and Ajaccio.
Temperatures, rising, range from 7° to 14°C with 9°C in Paris.

Bad rainy and windy weather in the northern half of the country, especially in the northeast. With the mild weather, rain falls up to around 1400 m in the mountains. The weather is humid with drizzles in the southwest as well. Only the southeast quarter remains dry.
Further trend
For this week-endyou have one disturbance per day. On Sunday, further rain will cross France followed by cooling in the afternoon and evening. This will bring the snow back to low altitudes in the evening (700 m): anticipate your trips to mountain resorts (equipment).
For the rest, calm but often gray and cool weather will be required for the Christmas time.
