Holding your breath with excitement, getting excited and puzzling along – that's probably what makes crime thrillers fun for most people. Whether alone or together in front of the TV.
In addition to the “crime scene,” there are a number of crime thrillers that captivate viewers in front of the screen. At the forefront: “Nord Nord Mord” (ZDF). No wonder that many are now rushing into the latest episode in the ZDF media library: “Sievers and the Haunted House”. It won't officially air on television until December 23rd, but it's already causing speculation among viewers.
“Nord Nord Mord” (ZDF): Fans are rushing for a new episode
The latest episode of the popular ZDF crime drama is all about a “haunted house”. Specifically, it is about a house on the mudflats that is to be artificially set on fire during a training operation by the Sylt local fire brigade. But before the mission, military leader Bosse Iwersen makes a terrible discovery: a female corpse. And that's where Commissioner Carl Sievers comes into play.

Fans have been able to find the crime thriller in the ZDF media library since December 14th. Of course, many people have already seen it. And according to a Sylt Facebook group, the conclusion of the first viewers is clear: “Great, entertaining episode”. Fans seem to be interested in something else much more than the content of the story.
“Nord Nord Mord” (ZDF): Viewers have one question above all
“Yes, we from Sylt also watch it. But also because it’s always funny to see what wasn’t filmed here,” writes a woman in the Sylter Facebook group. And apparently she is not alone. “Like Tatort Münster, at least 50% filmed in Cologne,” says someone else. And a third agrees with her and emphasizes that she always looks to see what was not filmed on Sylt.
And in fact, the popular ZDF crime drama is not only filmed on Sylt. Other places from Schleswig-Holstein or Lower Saxony, for example, would also appear again and again. A viewer also notices this. “That's right, if it comes to that, I'll live on Sylt too. The 'Sylter Old People's Home' (with dunes in the background, which I look for in vain every day) is in my neighborhood in the Lüneburg Heath. But if that's possible, I'll also live in Schwanitz (north near northwest) or in Hamburg. There’s always a lot of filming going on here.”

And not everyone always understands this. “I can understand that when shooting indoors, but not when shooting outdoors,” says someone. Others don't care, even if they notice it. They use it more as part of the guesswork. Then not only will the case be solved, but also the mystery of what was actually filmed on Sylt – and what wasn't.
