Manchester United fans have dropped their clear-cut verdict on Antony’s display after he made a rare start in the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Tottenham.
The Red Devils punched their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with their 5-2 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford in the last 16 in October.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was in charge of Manchester United for the round-of-16 tie, having been appointed interim manager after Erik ten Hag was sacked.
Ruben Amorim arrived at Old Trafford during the start of the November international break and Ruud van Nistelrooy left United after his four-match interim spell.
The 39-year-old Portuguese manager received a major boost ahead of the quarter-final clash after United stunned City with a 2-1 win in the derby last weekend.

Antony starts for Man Utd vs Tottenham
Antony has faced immense criticism during his Manchester United career after his big-money move from Dutch side Ajax in 2022.
The 24-year-old former Ajax winger played under ex-United manager Erik ten Hag at the Dutch club before the pair were reunited at Old Trafford.
Antony’s struggles have continued into the current campaign, with the Brazilian attacker only netting once in 10 appearances across all competitions.
The United star has been handed a second chance at the Red Devils under Ruben Amorim, including playing as a wing-back for the former Sporting CP boss.
But Amorim made the big call to start Antony in an advanced attacking position against Tottenham, with the United winger playing as one of the two No 10s.
Antony offered very little as an attacking threat for United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but the Brazil international was steady with his passing at times.

Man Utd fans react to Antony’s performance vs Tottenham
Antony only managed 10 minutes in the second half before United manager Amorim made the call to hook him off and replace him with Amad Diallo.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were left deeply underwhelmed by Antony’s overall performance in the Carabao Cup tie.
Red Devils supporters voiced their frustrations at Antony playing as a No 10 and “never” want to see the Brazil winger play in the role again.
However, United fans felt that Amorim should stick with modifying Antony into a fully-fledged wing-back to suit his formation style at the Red Devils.
“Antony should never play in the [No] 10 ever again, emergency wing-back or nothing,” one fan said.
Someone else commented: “Antony and Maz [Noussair Mazraoui] are supposed to work in tandem on the right wing but Antony keeps putting Maz in difficult positions by not opening up.”
“Antony is playing too wide for this [No] 10 position. Needs to come inside more,” a third added.
Another wrote: “Antony’s only place in this team is as a wing-back.”
While a fifth X user posted: “Antony offers nothing in the forward position, shows only be used in the wing-back position.”
Somebody else tweeted: “Antony cannot play the left [No] 10. He’s only a wing-back and he’s been alright at best in that position.”
“If Antony is going to play, play him at wing-back. He’s horror in the attack,” an eighth fan said.
