Yseult does not mince his words. The singer is proud of her latest album released in September, Mental, and she made it felt on X/Twitter this month after some less than enthusiastic feedback. “ Mental is one of the best projects released in this year. Those who disagree, choke,” she said.

Comments which were noted during his visit yesterday in C to you. “But yes, masturbate!” », Relaunched the singer with a confident air. Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine then bluntly continued: “Yes, choke or masturbate, rather the latter! » To which the young woman replied: “It’s better to masturbate, it feels good with a little lubricant and a small dildo…”. On set, with Jean Dujardin in particular, another guest on the show, the embarrassment is palpable.

The singer nevertheless corrected the meaning of her message when asked if it came from a feeling of “anger”. “That’s not at all what I said,” she told Cash. “I said that my project is one of the best French albums released in 2024. Who will say the opposite? I don’t force anyone to listen to it on camera, but I simply tell the truth. Especially since she has put all her resources into this new opus. “It’s a project that I produced independently, 100%,” she said.

“No advance, no label, it’s my label, it’s my money, it’s my sweat. And I produced it, composed it and co-wrote it with incredible artists, and incredible songwriters and producers.” Fortunately, Yseult appears to have found a loyal new audience in the United States, where her performance on the track My Way during the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games was so well received that the artist was then invited to sing on the set of The Tonight Show by American presenter Jimmy Fallon.

“This project was very well received in the United States. I wish the same thing in my own country, France, which is a country that I cherish and adore,” she confided. A success that Yseult certainly hopes to find during his first tour across the Atlantic in January!
