Portland Streetcar Awaiting the Release of Car 032 to Enter Revenue Service

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EC) – Brookville Equipment Corporation concluded shipment of the Portland Streetcar vehicles in December of 2023.

Upon arrival in Portland, Oregon, the vehicles started undergoing testing, where they must meet the criteria defined in the contract before they can enter revenue service.

Car 032, the second to be delivered from Brookville Equipment, is awaiting release to be able to enter revenue service. This vehicle has completed all of its burn in miles and was the first vehicle to attempt and complete its testing. The plan for this vehicle is to enter revenue service in the near future.

Both cars 031 and 033, the first and third vehicles to be delivered from BROOKVILLE, are in the preliminary stages of completing their burn in miles. These vehicles must complete the testing parameters listed in the contract before it can be released to enter revenue service.

The first vehicle must be operated for 900 km (559 miles) without any faults. The subsequent vehicles must complete 100 km (62 miles) without any faults, or the 100 km test must be restarted.
