Jorrel Hato
‘This is a well-considered decision on our part. Owen Wijndal (his replacement against Almere City, ed.) is doing well and Jorrel has played several games in a row. So we decided to give him a rest for a match.’

Josip Sutalo
“He’s sick, this morning he was in pretty bad shape.”

Steven Berghuis, Mika Godts and Bertrand Traoré
“They’ve all played a lot of games in a row. It is risky to start with these players. We only have two pure wingers and we have seen how difficult it has been to play without Mika in recent games. So I’d rather make this decision than risk being without them again in the coming weeks. This was decided in consultation with the medical staff.’

Due to the absence of Berghuis, Godts and Traoré in the starting line-up, prior to the interview with Farioli it was a bit of a guess as to the line-up of the team from Amsterdam, but Farioli announced to ESPN that Chuba Akpom and Kenneth Taylor will play the flanks against Almere City. They play around striker Wout Weghorst.
