Mohamed El Khalfi left his indelible mark on the theater and the small screen. Born in Casablanca in 1937, the actor began his career in 1957, within the “Amateur Theater” with Tayeb Sadiki and Ahmed Laâlej.

He then created his own theater troupe “Al Msrah Ach-chaâbi” (The Popular Theater), then “Al Fannanine Al Mouttahidine” (The United Artists), which presented seven plays. In the first, “The Cultivated Family”, actress Touria Jabrane played the main role.

Mohamed El Khalfi was one of the first actors to join national television upon its launch in 1962, to present the first television series entitled “Tadhia” (sacrifice).

His rich artistic career includes a significant number of works in various genres including sitcoms, plays, television films and films. We can cite “Silence is forbidden” by Abdallah Mesbahi, “The green light” by Abdallah Mesbahi, “Dilemma/Alwarta” by Mustapha El Khayat, the series by Bouazza El Hakim, “Aouchtam”, the sitcom by “Lalla Fatima” , “Here and Elsewhere” by Mohamed Ismail, “Life is Beautiful” by Abdallah Mesbahi, “The Witness” by Ibrahim Idrissi El Hassani or more recently “Le Sang des Trahis” by Adel Fadili in 2022.

Mohamed El Khalfi interrupted his career due to the deterioration of his health in recent years. He lived in solitude in his house in Dar Bouazza, near Casablanca, where we visited him in December 2019.
