At a time when homes have just celebrated Christmas, we continue our holiday saga. As a reminder, for this end of the year, Gala.fr asked several stars to talk about the holiday season. A souvenir, a gift… Let's forget the time for an interview this year which was rich in emotions. Sophie Thalmann, Miss 1998, agreed to take part in the Christmas interview.

Gala.fr: This year, what does your Christmas list consist of?
Sophie Thalmann : I didn't make a list. I enjoy giving gifts. I don't have any special requirements, I love surprises. What makes me happiest is still being able to be with my family and friends.

What is your fondest Christmas memory?
A Christmas in the mountains with my husband, our three children, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend. We really laughed a lot! When it was time to unwrap the gifts, everyone designated a person. In fact, the children couldn't take it anymore because adults were being put before them. It was funny to see their faces! Usually, they tear off the packaging without necessarily taking advantage of it. There, we really took the time to see each other's gifts.

And that Christmas gift you'll never forget?
The birth of my daughter, nine months after Christmas.

Does having children allow you to maintain the Christmas spirit?
Downright ! Even though they are big, they love Christmas. My daughter has already made her wishlist for a while. That's what's great. And then, my seven year old still believes in Santa Claus. I would like it to last as long as possible.

Besides, what did she ask for for Christmas?
My little one gave me lots of crosses in the catalog. He told me that at Christmas you could ask for anything you wanted. I explained to him that Santa couldn't drop everything off (laughs). My elders are very high-tech. My oldest asked for an iPad because her computer died, and my first son wants a phone because his ran out of battery. It's a disaster!

Until how old did you believe in Santa Claus?
Maybe eight years. Even though I was told it didn't exist, deep down I still wanted to believe it and hoped it wasn't true. Except that one evening on the 25th, I heard my parents… It was over, I was growing up.

If you had to spend Christmas with 3 people, who would you choose?
Julia Roberts, I love this woman. I think she would brighten up our evening. My daughter is a fan of Adele. If she came to sing for us, that would be great. And then, a great cook, a person who would set the mood and who would make us a good meal. I will say Cyril Lignac!

Can you still listen All I want for Christmas is you de Mariah Carey ?
I can't take it anymore! Even on the networks, I mute the sound. It's a disaster! I prefer George Michael's song, Last Christmas! She is really beautiful.

The end of the year is also time for taking stock. What do you remember from your year 2024?
I don't know if it's because I'm getting older but I find that the years go by very quickly. We don't have time to do everything. Despite everything, it was a great year. We had some great projects that came to fruition. Now you have to work even harder (laughs). She was quite positive from a personal and professional point of view.

After Christmas, it's the start of the new year. How do you see 2025?
I don't know why but I like even years better. But I like the number 5 too. I hope it will be the same as 2024, there is no reason why it should be otherwise.
