Mavericks odds: How to bet Dallas and Toronto

The Dallas Mavericks have made their way up to the Six to face off against the Toronto Raptors. This continues a streak where the Mavs haven’t played consecutive games in the same city in over three weeks. However, in this stretch Dallas has gone on a 10-1 run, which has seen them catapult up to 2nd in the Western Conference. Of note, the Mavericks have also covered the spread in 10 of those 11 too. With that out of the way, let’s handicap tonight’s action.

Game intangibles

Dallas Mavericks (15-8) vs Toronto Raptors (7-16)

Tipoff: 6:30p CT from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, ON

How to watch: KFAA Ch. 29 or streaming on Mavs

Both teams are generally good against the spread, as Toronto has covered 15 of 23 games thus far. Dallas is 14-8-1 ATS on the year, including 7-4-1 on the road. Because of that, there are no real identifiable trends to work with in this one.

Spread: Dallas -8.5 (-108)

Over/Under: 236 (-110/-110)

Moneyline: Toronto (+300)

Player props

Davion Mitchell under 7.5 points (-125)

Dereck Lively over 8.5 points (+100)

PJ Washington over 1.5 3 pointers made (-110)

Play of the day: Dallas 1st half -4.5 (-112)

I’m going first half here because I’ve seen enough from the Mavs bench mob to not trust them to hold a big lead. With Jaden Hardy being doubtful for this one, that takes a lot of pop out of the mop up group, which means I think the backdoor will be open here. But that doesn’t stop me from thinking that Dallas takes care of business here. They’re playing too well right now to stub their toes in a spot like this one.
