Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal was happy to see his team get back to winning ways in La Liga after losing “silly points” recently in the Spanish top flight.
Yamal was back in the starting XI against Real Mallorca and played a key role in Barcelona’s 5-1 win at Son Moix which he admitted afterwards was an important victory.
“It was a very important victory after the two defeats in LaLiga. It was very important to win with a result like that, and we are very happy,” he told Esport3.
“We had been better in the first half, but we had to finish off the clear chances we had. We went out with that idea and it worked out pretty well for us.”
Yamal also spoke about his brilliant assist for Raphinha and says it’s something his team-mate knows he will always try
“It’s something I do quite well, I usually do it, I’m very happy for Raphinha we understand each other very well, and he knows that when I’m in that area of the field I will always try to do it.
“It is a very important victory for the team, we needed to win again. In the Champions League we were doing very well, but in the League we were losing very silly points. The victory is very important for everyone and the goals for those who play less also give them a lot of confidence.
“The ankle is fine and I am ready to play as many games as necessary.”
The teenager’s latest assist takes him to eight so far this season in just 14 La Liga games for Hansi Flick’s side.
