Minister of the Civil Service, Guillaume Kasbarian agreed to speak about his private life in the columns of Paris Match. The politician shares his life with his companion, Antoine.
It is from their cozy little nest in Saint-Martin-de-Nigelles, far from the political battle currently taking place in the National Assembly, that Guillaume Kasbarian and Antoine, his companion, agreed to confide in each other. For Paris Match the couple reveals themselves evoking their daily life or the political ideas defended by the Minister of the Civil Service. The latter did not hesitate to introduce his partner with whom he entered into a civil partnership three years ago. After spending twenty years in the army, notably carrying out operations in Mali and Niger, Antoine is now a pilot with Air France. In 2015, he joined the Villacoublay squadron to pilot government planes, such as that of François Hollande and Emmanuel Macron.
Discreet, Antoine is not on social networks but remains a support for his partner. Discreet, he prefers to stay away from social networks. Despite everything, he agreed to appear publicly, making Guillaume Kasbarian the prime minister in office to present his partner, reports Paris Match. “I did not agree to do it in a militant approach, our objective with Antoine has always been to be equal”nevertheless specifies the minister to the French magazine. “I go into politics to advance my ideas in the service of the French. Reform modestly on my scale, shake the coconut tree. It’s good to show who I am, my cats, my companion”. For his part, Antoine explains that this is the first time he has appeared publicly in this way. “And it’s not an exercise that I love. We have always lived in the most banal, natural way possible”he adds.

Pour Paris MatchGuillaume Kasbarian and Antoine agreed to talk about their relationship. “Our life as a country couple is similar to that of our neighbors, and our love is similar to many French people”declares the Minister of the Civil Service. “You can be gay in France, live in the countryside, love good food, good wine, barbecue… You have to be free to accept yourself”. The politician says he is happy if his story with Antoine ever allows certain young people to free themselves. “And if it frees certain young people who are hiding or don't dare to take responsibility, so much the better. If it shocks, it’s because there is still a way to go towards equality,” he adds. If Antoine and Guillaume Kasbarian have already mentioned the idea of having a child, their busy schedule does not yet allow it.
