A clip of LeBron James and Anthony Edwards went viral which revealed the duo’s apparent heated verbal exchange during the Lakers warmup. But the viral moment was not what it appeared to be as it was a simple playful moment between the two stars or rather a treat for fans to ponder over their staged “fight” ahead of the Timberwolves vs. Lakers game.

LeBron James and Anthony Edwards brought some fun to a recent Lakers warmup, sparking laughs among NBA fans. The playful exchange, which went viral on social media, showed the two stars in a staged “fight” during pre-game stretches. James is known for his subtle jokes on and off the court. He joined in the mock scuffle with Edwards, who played along just as eagerly. Despite their rivalry on the court, the veteran duo participated in their camaraderie and sense of humor.
While the audio of the clip was not audible, it was crystal clear that the stars from the rivals had fun as they seemingly acknowledged each other. Photographs shared on social media following the incident showed that Edwards was having fun as he burst out in laughter.
Later in the game, The Timberwolves dominated the Lakers to claim a 109-80 win. Julius Randle scored 18 points, and Rudy Gobert added 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Timberwolves triumphed over the Lakers.
Naz Reid and Nickeil Alexander-Walker contributed 15 points each for Minnesota, which held the Lakers to their lowest score since 2017. The Timberwolves’ star power, Edwards struggled with just eight points. Lakers legend, James scored just 10 points on 4-for-16 shooting after missing 19 straight 3-pointers, and Anthony Davis added 12 points and 11 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell led the Lakers with 20 points in his return from illness.

While both James and Edwards struggled to deliver their A-game, the Lakers faced a humiliating defeat. The Timberwolves now have 10 wins and 10 defeats while the Lakers are with 12 victories and 9 losses.
The Lakers will face the Miami Heat on Wednesday, while the Timberwolves will take on the Los Angeles Clippers.
