This year too, the NBA Christmas games do not disappoint with spectacular matches in which there is no shortage of surprises. Below are all the results and their contact details.
SAN ANTONIO SPURS-NEW YORK KNICKS 114-117
The NBA Christmas starts off very strong immediately with a highly exciting match between the Spurs and the Knicks. The game was balanced for a large part of the 48 minutes, with San Antonio led by a formidable Victor Wembanyama who closed with 42 points in his debut on Christmas Day. However, the Frenchman alone was not enough for the Texans, who found few solutions from the rest of the team. For the Knicks, a fiery Mikal Bridges responds (41 points) who takes control of New York in the final stages. Josh Hart was also decisive with some fundamental defensive plays in the final.
MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES-DALLAS MAVERICKS 105-99
Christmas marked by bad luck for the Mavs who fell against Minnesota and lost Luka Doncic after 16 minutes of the match due to a calf injury and whose condition will have to be better checked. At +28 for Minnesota the match seems over, but Kyrie Irving will relight the fuse and get his team back into the match (he will finish with 39 points with 14/27 shooting). The performance of the former Cleveland point guard is not enough for the Texans, who have to surrender to Anthony Edwards with 26 points and 8 rebounds.
PHILADELPHIA 76ERS-BOSTON CELTICS 118-114
Cod Phila beating the reigning champions Boston Celtics away. It was in the third quarter that Phila made the decisive breakthrough to overcome the Celtics, holding the latter to just 16 points scored. The golden period continues for Tyrese Maxey, who closes his Christmas Day with 33 points, to which are added 27 from Embiid and 23 from Martin. Tatum's 32 with 15 rebounds and Brown's 23 are not enough for Boston.
LOS ANGELES LAKERS-GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 115-113
In the eternal challenge between Stephen Curry and LeBron James and the latter to come out on top, in a match decided only in the last seconds. In fact, it was a layup by Austin Reaves (26 points) that defeated Golden State, which had closed the deficit with two crazy triples by Curry (38 points for him). For LeBron there were 31 points with 10 assists, while Anthony Davis had to leave the match before the long break due to an ankle problem.
DENVER NUGGETS-PHOENIX SUNS 100-110
The Suns take revenge against Denver after the defeat a few days ago, once again led by Kevin Durant (27 points) and Bradley Beal (27 points). The Nuggets still find Jokic's double double (25 points and 15 rebounds) and Michael Porter Jr's 22 points; but they pay for the 16 turnovers and the terrible 3-point shooting percentage (26.7%).
