The character of Duchess is undoubtedly the one whose evolution is the most significant. Fresh out of the police academy, Estelle Lacorderie, from a bourgeois family, stood out at crime scenes. Little by little, the harshness of her job changed the young woman who swapped her pretty coats for clothes more suited to her daily life. But if Duchesse changed it is also because of the drama that Ben experienced at the end of the previous season. “Duchess almost lost her lover, it was a trauma. She was really scared, insists his interpreter. And now, she is very worried about her health. In fact, what changed Duchess was both the reality on the ground and the fact of having almost lost a colleague of course but who above all turned out to be her love. Suddenly, she no longer has a filter and decides, unconsciously, to blame Darius. Because there has to be someone responsible, jokes the actress. Duchesse is more mature in the sense that she is getting older but also because she grew up after Ben's accident. Because we always grow after a big tragedy. For the first time in his life, Duchesse no longer wants to look good or please. I think she's no longer afraid to say what she thinks.”

Plus mature, Duchesse also emancipates himself by opposing Darius when the latter decides to send Ben, still very fragile, on an infiltration mission. “Darius has always been the mentor of Duchesse, entrust Deborah Krey, he is an example for her. A bit like a big brother. But somehow, at that moment, she takes over. This outburst is completely legitimate, we had to find someone responsible for what happened to Ben. It made us feel weird, Guillaume [Cramoisan] and me, to play this scene, because we get along extremely well in life, recognizes the actress, seen recently in Murders in Montauban. There is a lot of sweetness between us, as between the four of us in fact. We love each other very much. As soon as there's a scene that's a little difficult, we can't wait to play it because we're actors and it's exhilarating, but before these shouting sequences, there's something that we all feel four.
