The socialist deputy for Lozère, Sophie Pantel, announced that she would not support the motion of censure tabled by the left against the government, reports France Bleu Gard Lozère Monday December 2.
“As a matter of responsibility, I choose not to support an ineffective motion of censure in this context. Current issues require realistic and constructive solutions rather than symbolic gestures which risk aggravating the current crises”justifies Sophie Pantel.
The Prime Minister took responsibility for the Social Security budget via 49.3. The left and the National Rally (RN) have indicated that they will vote together on this motion of censure, making the fall of the government possible. The NFP has tabled a motion of censure which will be examined first because the left tabled this motion before the National Rally. The RN and its Ciottist allies from the UDR group have also tabled a motion of censure, signed, according to their press release, by the 140 deputies currently making up their coalition.
