Sunday November 10, 2024, the HAC hosted the Reims club at the Océane stadium. Le Havre lost 3 goals to zero. Several incidents took place during this meeting, including a smoke bomb detected upon palpation.
Among the other faults, a jet of projectiles on the lawn. “The meeting delegates also saw it and the surveillance cameras confirmed,” explains Gauthier Malandain, HAC communications manager.
“The professional football league asks clubs to enforce the internal regulations and sanction this type of behavior“, adds the communicator.
The perpetrator is a young subscriber aged 6: “the sanction is also directed towards the adult who accompanied him (who is not one of his parents)“, he specifies.
Contacted by telephone, the parents were understanding. “They were aware that it was a reprehensible act and were surprised at the duration“. The stadium ban will last 2 months: “we were a little more flexible than what the internal regulations indicate.” The suspension concerns the Angers receptions which took place last Sunday, as well as Strasbourg (in December) and Lens (in January).
“It’s a commercial ban, he’s not going to report to the police every match day” puts Gauthier Malandain into perspective.
