New episode in the standoff between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain. The footballer counter-attacks before the disciplinary committee of the Professional League (LFP) in the face of PSG's refusal to pay him 55 million euros in bonuses and salaries.

According to a source within the LFP, a hearing will be held on December 11 before the commission, which will examine the player's appeal for “failure to pay bonuses and salaries”. But this date will probably not correspond to the outcome of this series.

PSG refused to pay the 55 million euros requested by its ex-player despite injunctions from the LFP legal commission on September 11, then the joint appeals committee on October 25. The French Football Federation (FFF) then rejected a request from the club filed after the deadline.

Recently, “Kylian Mbappé reported to the LFP disciplinary committee that he had still not been paid. (…) Subsequently, the LFP disciplinary committee decided on its own to summon PSG to a hearing to present its arguments before sanction., the attacker’s entourage told AFP.

The statutes of the LFP provide, in the event of “failure to pay sums owed with certainty by a French professional club”possible fines or ban on recruiting.

The club not very worried

But, on Monday, within the management of PSG, we did not seem to be overly worried about this new procedure. According to her, the dispute will only find its conclusion before competent courts, such as the industrial tribunal. The conflict finds its origin in the status of an agreement which would have been reached, in August 2023, between the attacker and the management of the Parisian club.

The captain of the team was then sidelined from the group for refusing to extend his contract with PSG. This new commitment would have guaranteed the club to receive the money from a transfer from Mbappé. But the latter finally signed up free this summer with Real Madrid.

According to PSG, the player would have agreed to waive these 55 million in various bonuses if he were to leave free at the end of the season. But the validity of this deal, which the player himself had mentioned publicly to journalists in January, is contested by the Mbappé camp, which evokes a “occult agreement”.
