The accident occurred on Sunday in Thiellay.
The driver of an electric Opel Corsa, who was going down the Thiellay, that is to say traveling in the direction of Montchanin – Le Creusot, was undoubtedly very lucky. In fact, he saw a car coming towards him, a Renault Scenic, which was going up the Thiellay and which crossed the traffic lanes and the white strip, finally colliding with the Corsa from the side, in what is described as a shock. frontal.
The Opel Corsa found itself stuck against the guardrail, while the Renault found itself in the other direction of traffic, after having made a half turn.
Both drivers, a 45-year-old man for the Opel and a 39-year-old man for the Renault, were injured. They were rescued by firefighters from Le Creusot and Montchanin, under the command of Lieutenant Sylvain Parizet. They were transported to the Hôtel-Dieu.
The Le Creusot police officers and the gendarmes from the Montchanin and Le Creusot community brigades went to the scene of the accident. Traffic flowed only in the direction of Montchanin during the rescue operations, before being able to resume in alternating mode.
