Great fear in Fiorentina-Inter, in the 17th minute the Viola midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed to the ground unconscious. His teammates and opponents were desperate and the player was taken to hospital. Match suspended pending communications
Moments of terror in Fiorentina-Inter: minute 17, while the game was stopped due to a goal disallowed Lautaro and the consequent control of the VAR, Viola midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed to the ground, unconscious. Immediately there was great fear on the pitch, with the desperation of his teammates and opponents, who were filmed in tears (especially Andrea Colpani). I immediately asked for an ambulance, which however was slow in arriving. Stadium silenced, the teams were then called back to the locker rooms. The match was suspended pending further communications.
The protests from the bench, then the collapse
The match was going through an excited phase, with Inter protesting after Lautaro's opening goal was disallowed (on the launch of Dumfries the ball appeared to have entirely crossed the sideline). The referee Daniele Doveri was calming the Fiorentina bench, with Palladino rather agitated during the VAR check. Precisely in those seconds, Edoardo Bove – who had just gotten up after tying his shoes – collapsed to the ground.
Player immediately taken to hospital
He was the first to notice Simone Inzaghi, who with large gestures attracted the referee's attention, followed closely by all the players on the pitch. Immediately a large crowd formed around Bove, with the cameras no longer recording the scene as usual.. The tension was immediately very high, with the teammates in purple and the Inter players putting their hands in their hair. The stadium fell silent, roaring only because the ambulance was late. Once you arrive on the field, Bove was immediately transported to Careggi hospital.
